Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse Five
(or the children crusade)
Based on the classic Kurt Vonnegut science-fiction novel, Slaughterhouse-five introduces us to Billy Pilgrim, a man who becomes “unstuck in time” after he is abducted by aliens. In a plot-scrambling display of virtuosity, we follow Pilgrim simultaneously through all the phases of his extraordinary life.
The play draws on Vonnegut’s real-life experience as an American prisoner of war who witnessed the firebombing of Dresden. This satirical and anti-war story carries a unique poignancy and humour.
Following from their multiple award-winning run of Ten Days in a Madhouse, So it Goes return to Jack Studio to bring this incredible story to life with expert storytelling, immersive sound and spectacular video design.
